(You could print labels for just 8 or 16 jacks at a time to minimize this effect.) Haven't checked to see if OpenOffice rounds off its cell sizes. The P-Touch editor, unfortunately, rounds its cell sizes down to 2 decimal places (to 0.71"), so that by the time you get to 24 jacks, you can see a shift of the label's text towards the left. The Neutrik NYS-SPP, by the way, has a spacing of 0.7125" between jacks (my measurement, as I couldn't find this published anywhere). Not the end of the world, but an unnecessary pain. to In 1, In 2, In 3, I have to do that all by hand. So, if I wanted to turn a row of labels from reading Out 1, Out 2, Out 3. One big thing missing from the P-Touch Editor app is a simple Find/Replace text function. That said, I don't necessarily recommend using their app, and the suggestion to use OpenOffice's spreadsheet is one I wish I'd found before starting all this. This is for a Neutrik NYS-SPP-L patch bay (1/4" jacks): Precision 110 Ohm impedance, low capacitance, and shielded twisted pair cable all meet strict. The normals strapped or half-normalled panels are used to patch AES digital audio signals up to a total circuit length of 300 feet. Thought I'd share the template I made, using the free software supplied by the P-Touch makers (an app called P-Touch Editor). ADCs Digital Audio patch bays are designed for patching AES/EBU digital audio signals. Sure beats hand labeling for legibility and making easy corrections. I've been labeling patch bays this week, using a P-Touch 2700 labeler with 1/4" printer tape.
